Kinzang Namgay,
Country Representative:
Joined WWF Bhutan Program in 1997 as Director for Program. Proir
to joining WWF, Kinzang worked for the government under the Ministry
of Agriculture. Kinzang also worked as a consultant for various
organizations in Bhutan for a brief period of two years after resigning
from civil service in 1994. He is an agronomist by profession and
obtained his master's degree from the University of Reading in England.
Program Section:
Vijay Moktan,
Program Director: Joined WWF Bhutan Program in 2001. He
did his M Sc. in Agriculture from London University, UK. Prior to
joining WWF he worked as a civil servant to the Royal Government
as a Senior Crop Scientist for 14 years.
He supervises the overall
Program Section.
Mincha
Wangdi, Program
Officer, Sustainable Livelihoods:
Joined WWF in Oct 2004. He worked with the Royal Society For Protection
of Nature (RSPN) as an Environment Education Officer and prior to
that he was a professional teacher in the Ministry of Education.He
has a Master of Science degree in Environment and Development Education
from Southbank University, London and Certificate Course in NGO
Management from Denmark, 2003. He
was instrumental in developing the teachers’ guide for environmental
studies for the Education Ministry.
Besides
looking after the sustainable livelihoods projects he is also looking
after Thrimshingla National Park which is one of the biggest projects
WWF has ever undertaken. In addition, he so coordinates the environment
and health related projects at Phobjikha and Nabji Korphu Eco-tourism
trail.
Karma Tenzin, Program Officer
– Forest & Climate Change
Completed undergraduate degree (English
Honours) program from Sherubtse College in 1995. Undertook two year
post graduate degree program (Development Studies) from Australian
National University, Canberra in 2002. Worked for the Ministry of
Agriculture, Royal Government of Bhutan from 1996 to 2006 in the
Human Resources Division and the Policy and Planning Division.
He joined WWF Bhutan Program Office as Program Officer
from August 2006 and is resoponsible for: a) Royal Botanical Park
project, Lamperi which is located in the Sinchula-Dochula-Helela
corridor; b) Sustainable Management & Development of Non-wood
Forest Project in Bhutan.
Dechen Yeshi,
Assistant Program Officer: Dechen Yeshi- joined WWF in 2008.
She completed her undergrad from Delhi University with B.A. (HONS)
in English Literature. Prior to working for WWF, she worked for
RENEW as a Community Outreach Officer.
Pema Tshering, Assistant
Program Officer: Pema
joined WWF in Feb. 2008. Prior to that he worked for various private
and goverment organisations like the Dept. of Livestock (under Government
of India aid project). After his high school, he represented Bhutan
as the youth ambassador in Netherland for one year, under the auspicies
of the Department of Employment, Govt. of Bhutan.

Fund
Chophel Dayang,
CEPF Co-ordinator: Joined WWF Bhutan Program in 2002. She
has a first degree in Commerce and a post-graduate degree in Development
Administration from the Australian National University in Canberra.
Her earlier work experience was with the United Nations
Development Programme as Programme Assistant heading the
programme support unit responsible for country programme finance
and the HRD project supporting training needs of the Royal Civil
Service of Bhutan. After eight years with UNDP, she opted to go
for her further studies to Australia and obtained degree in
2000.
She supervises the
CEPF projects in Bhutan.
Jigme Tsuendrup, CEPF
Grants Administrator: Jigme joined WWF family in January
2008. He has an IT professional certificate course from AIT and
APTECH from Bangkok.
Prior to joining WWF he worked for
Center for Bhutan Studies and office of the Census Commissioner
under government projects.
Communications Section:
Tashi Tshering,
Communications Officer: Tashi joined WWF Bhutan Program
in 2002. He did his BA degree honours in English Literature from
Sherubtse College, Bhutan. Prior to working in WWF he worked for
Kuensel, Bhutan's National newspaper, as a reporter and later on
as the head of the graphic section. In WWF he looks after the publications
and graphic designing and other communications matter. He manages
the office website too.
Yangchi
Pema, Assistant Officer: Yangchi Pema-Joined WWF-
Bhutan in 2008.She has bachelor's degree(honors) in commerce from
Sherubste College, Kanglung. Prior to joining WWF, she worked in
Kuensel Corporation as Marketing Executive for two years.
Responsible in assisting the Communication Unit.
Finance and
Administration section:
Tshering Dorjee,
F&A Manager: Joined
WWF Bhutan Program in Sept 2006. He has over
13 years experience in the financial services industry with a high
level of technical and professional knowledge of accounting, banking
and financial services, audit and risk management areas. Proir to
joining WWF he worked for the Royal Monetory Authority of Bhutan
and the Bhutan Development Finance Corporation.
He
has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from India with further Special
Study Program on Certificate Accounting from Philippines.
Madan Chhetri,
Senior Accountant: Joined WWF Bhutan Program in early 2004.
He graduated with a B.Com. degree from Sherubtse College, Bhutan.
For the last 11 years he worked for various private firms as their
accountant and in some as the financial manager. Some of the offices
he worked includes the Bhutan Carbide and Chemical Limited, Druk
Sherig, etc. He is resopnsible for the accounts section.
Tshering Yangchen,
Assistant Administrative Officer: Tshering
joined WWF in 2008. Prior to that she worked for hospitality industry
as well as a ferro alloys company. She has a undergraduate degree
in Business Management from India. She looks after the administrative
operatives of WWF Bhutan.
Kinley Om, Senior
Program Secretary: Kinley joined WWF Bhutan Program in mid
2000. Prior to joining WWF, Kinley was working with the Bhutan Development
Finance Corporation for 6 years. She is trained in computer programming
course from Royal Institute of Management followed by refresher's
course from Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand.
