Saving Wetlands Sky High

Participants from China, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Netherlands shared experiences and challenges in saving wetlands in their countries during the Saving Wetlands Sky High strategic meeting held on 22nd November.
Countries shared results from the local projects while also recognizing differences between countries in biodiversity and threats.
One of the major challenges that surfaced during the meeting was the need to come up with initiatives that will help bring about a sustainable system whereby projects can be taken over by responsible national authorities.
Realizing the need for a stronger regional program, participants agreed to work under an umbrella framework within the region and to explore new partnerships.
