WWF Bhutan is excited to announce that Chimi Rinzin joined as the new Country Director today.
Under the leadership of Chimi Rinzin, an experienced conservation leader, we the Panda Family are optimistic of continuing our conservation journey with renewed hope and vigor.
Chimi Rinzin brings with him over two decades of experience working in the field of environmental conservation. Before joining WWF, he worked as the Team Leader for the Environment and Livelihood Portfolio of UNDP Bhutan, advancing Climate Action ambition by engaging in the policy and program practice areas that encompasses Adaptation and Mitigation, Environment and Energy, Biodiversity Conservation and Nature Based Solution, Agriculture & Food security for a secure and Resilient livelihood of the people and community.
He began his career with the Royal Government of Bhutan; working for more than 16 years in the areas of Natural Resource Management, Agriculture Research, and Extension and Rural Development.
