WWF-Bhutan handed over forest fire equipment that included portable fire pump with suction pipes, Shibaura high pressure pumps, hose pipes, water bag packs and other forestry equipment - GPS, binoculars, camera traps, hypsometer, and water pocket tester kits worth Nu. 23.37 million to the Department of Forests and Park Services (DoFPS), Govt. Organization to support forest resources and watershed management in the field divisions.
This support is part of the Living Landscape: Securing High Conservation Values in South-Western Bhutan, a project funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), through International Climate Initiative (IKI).
