Panda Quarterly

We are pleased to share our spring edition of the Panda Quarterly, presenting our engagements over the past three months.

Kuzuzangpo la!

That is how we greet each other in Bhutan. It roughly translates into hope you are well in body and mind.

We are pleased to share our spring edition of the Panda Quarterly, presenting our engagements over the past three months. This edition includes important milestones Bhutan achieved in conservation and sustainable development, most notably the Earth Hour 2025 campaign during which we saw an increased number of individuals and groups taking part in the campaign on their own initiative, the launch of Faith Long-term Plan, which is a partnership with the Central Monastic Body, and the launch of Edge Species project in partnership with the Department of Forests and Park Services.

The Faith Long-term Plan, first of its kind for Bhutan aims to capitalize on the important role of faith and spiritualism in nature conservation. The Edge Species project aims to foster community participation in conservation of flagship species such as the snow leopard and red panda.

Pandas in Bhutan remain committed to push forward and strive for even greater achievements in the future. As we share this quarterly newsletter with you, we extend our deepest gratitude for your support. We hope that you will continue to collaborate and partner with us on this journey as we pursue a sustainable and just Bhutan for nature and people.

We hope you enjoy the quarterly as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
