Climate change affects everyone. However, it affects the livelihoods of the marginalized ones disproportionately. Climate change affects children and their childhood equally hence leaving long lasting impact in their lives. Therefore, to kickstart the partnership, WWF-Bhutan and Save the Children Bhutan will explore means to tackle and work together on climate related issues.

Save the Children Bhutan and WWF-Bhutan signed an MoU to establish partnership between the two organizations and explore areas of mutual interest and ways of working. The two organizations will cooperate and work on areas such as advocacy, campaigning, and program delivery.

The main objective of this alliance is to effectively engage and empower Bhutanese children and youth to develop the knowledge, motivation, and abilities to support conservation, promote sustainable development, apply the principles of sustainability in their everyday activities and decisions, and drive active citizenship.

The two organizations will cooperate and work on areas such as advocacy, campaigning, and program delivery. This partnership will collaborate and leverage on existing campaigns such as Save the Children’s SHIFT, Red Alert and Generation Hope Campaigns, and WWF-Bhutan’s Conservation Stewardship and Education programs such as Young Bhutanese Birders, Living Planet Sessions, Bend the Curve Challenge, Wild Wisdom Quiz, and faith program.
